Schloß-Schenke in Neuwied

After some hesitation, I checked into this old house. But I was very surprised by the furnishing of the new, fresh and modern rooms. Everything is super clean and in an absolutely well-kept condition. Since the heating made noises, it was immediately possible to move to another room ... THANK YOU for that. The breakfast is served exactly as I wanted it to be due to the corona. Impeccable location in the center directly at the castle. Thumbs up ... my clear recommendation.

Family hotel with 8 rooms right in front of the castle. The rooms are located in a new extension and are very nicely designed. The room size is absolutely sufficient, the bathroom with the huge shower very comfortable. The rooms are relatively new, very well-kept and always clean, the staff always nice and open-minded. The food in the pub was very sufficient, despite the senior portion, always tasty and inexpensive. Despite Corona a very nice stay and definitely not our last here in the Schloss Schänke.

Would be 5 stars if not for the Köln FC thing in the bar.

We stayed there for 2 nights. The room was clean and in very good condition, the mattresses are good. The bathroom was chic and the shower was absolutely great, even for stout people like me. We ate breakfast there twice and breakfast was amazing both times. Currently, the buffet is not open due to Corona, you fill out a form and get everything you need.

Have been here several times and love to come back again and again! Super nice staff, very nice, really cozy atmosphere, delicious food, both breakfast and dinner, even during Corona times! Rooms are all newly renovated and very clean. Great location with an ice cream parlor directly opposite and the Rhine 2 minutes away for a walk. All thumbs up !!! :-)

The rooms are bright, comfortable and clean. Hotel management and staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is plentiful and good.

Top service and very friendly staff. Good prices, clean rooms (towels, hair dryer, etc. available) and great breakfast (scrambled eggs, rolls with butter and bacon, etc.) The food in the evening was always plentiful and delicious. The environment is wonderful (Rhine). Already impressive.

Very modern nice rooms, clean, quiet again. Restaurant and bar in the style of the castle and knight time. Do not be put off, that must be so. Can you go well with food and drink ... even without armor! Although you have the feeling that an iron-hung rider could enter the door right away ... I think I heard hooves .... Good hunger .... ?

A small, well-run house. Rooms are great, absolutely quiet location. Definitely eat in the restaurant, perfect kitchen! Very friendly, unobtrusive nice service. Will not be the last time we are there ?

Very nice little guest house with home-style dining room. The whole place is worth seeing. Room good and clean. Prices very reasonable. At the latest when I finally take the Rheinfahrradweg, I drive back.

I'm attending a course in the village, so I sleep here too. This hotel is perfect, even for long stays! There should be a sign on the door with "The boss is still doing the cooking here!" attached. The super nice service fits perfectly into this well-kept house. Cleanliness and modernity are very important here! I'm looking forward to my next visit!

The thing I will remeber longest concerning this place is totaly hospitable, helpful and very kind staff - family of owners as I asume. It is a very old building with quite a history - you can tell it immediately as you enter. Some items in the main public dining room need maintenace and so I could not feel comfortable there. The hotel rooms upstairs however are VERY clean and nicely furnished. It is a good place to stay after the long day in travel. Proximity of the castle and central location of this place are another important advantages worth mentioning. Generally it really is a place to recommend.
